We underestimated how much the “Levante” (warm wind with strong gusts) dries out the ground. Our fruit trees need to be watered every few days….

…The ground is already very hard and has a hard time absorbing water. Since we cannot yet take water from the property because the necessary technology is still missing, we have to drive to la Muela with 35 filled water bottles and carry them to every tree.

Gabi and Herbert come to visit from Vienna and help clear the wood. We are grateful for every support we get from our friends.

After three personal visits in the Ajuntamento and emphasizing the urgency, we get an appointment with the mayor for Tuesday, April 18th. This will be canceled on the same day.

After a renewed appointment, a meeting with the mayor and those responsible in Urbanismo (city building office) is possible.

Everyone is very interested in our project being approved. However, they made a mistake and signed a law that now ties their hands. They had not read this beforehand and now some projects are affected. They would try very hard to find a way out and will meet on May 3rd.

Fortunately, everyone involved is convinced that there will be a solution – only the way to get there has to be found first. Everyone confirms how much Vejer wants and needs our project.

So we are waiting for May 3rd.

Meanwhile we continue to work and plan.

Gudrun and Andreas helped with words and deeds. We get lots of tips and benefit from their many years of experience with a community field in Tyrol.

We urgently need running water on the property. The hot, windy time begins.

Still hard to imagine that it will look like this any time soon…

We ourselves have to move out of our apartment at the end of June to the beginning of September, as it is rented out very expensively as a holiday apartment in the summer. Water filling will then no longer be possible.

As April progresses, we realize that selling our home could be a long process. We can still finance a driveway, then we have to take care of interim financing for the water production. We will need the trust of our friends and others.

For months Andrea has been working through manuals and websites from various crowd-funding sites. We choose ecocrowd.de because we feel we belong to the principles and believe that our project fits the content.

We create a profile, shoot a video and send it to the fundraising organization for review.
