… we present our project in the “Ayuntamiento” (town hall) of Vejer… and get a lot of positive feedback…

We present the “ mi Cielo ” project to José Ortiz Galván, Mayor of Vejer. He had photos taken and promised with a handshake that he would personally support the progress of the project. It would be exactly what he wants for the region.

Local support is an essential part of our vision. If our project is received so positively, then we are on the right track. Main arguments of the benevolence are the ecological approach, the integration of regional structures and the involvement of the local people, to preserve natural occurrences as far as possible, refer to traditional construction with regional materials.

We realize that we have to be responsible with the trust we get in advance!!!

We realize how important it is that we have taken a lot of time to meet people, to have learned new cultural manners, to accept them, to appreciate them and to love this city and its people. We have been living in Vejer for 1 1/2 years now and are now a small part of this city, belong here and are no longer just strangers.

From the beginning we took part in public life, looked for and found our new circle of friends among Spaniards, learned the language and were open to everything new. We have learned not to be impatient and to trust that somehow everything will come to a solution. Peter says: “Everything always turns out differently than you think. But it will come.” We find the people here to be more solution-oriented than goal-oriented, and that requires a rethink on our part.
